Overview
Based at our depot in Totton, Southampton. 45 hours per week – 7.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime hours paid at one and a half times basic hourly rate. Opportunity to earn up to an additional £2 per hour through a merit scheme.
Salary: £14.95 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Operate a B2 forklift as the principal operator within the depot\’s operations team.
- Load and unload buildings onto delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, and transfer them between storage and preparation areas.
- Conduct and record quality checks of buildings pre-delivery and upon return.
- Check and replenish consumables and support the operations team with building preparation and maintenance.
About You
- Essential: valid B2 forklift licence with previous experience loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ideally in a similar setting.
- Ability to meet deadlines while working safely and efficiently; foster effective relationships with colleagues.
- Outdoor yard operations; prepared to be exposed to extremes of weather.
- The company plans to relocate the depot to Alton in Hampshire in the next 18 to 24 months and expects applicants to be able to commute to this location.
