What You Can Expect As An SMT Operator
The core responsibilities of the SMT Operator are the day-to-day running of all machinery within a fast-paced Surface Mount Department working on two production lines and all other peripheral equipment, often working to very tight time scales. Producing a large range of mixed technology printed multilayer & double-sided circuit PCBA’s used in the test and measurement industry, the Department supports the demands of the Two Production departments as well as NPI (New Product Introduction) R&D (Research and Development) and NTG (New Technologies) departments.
Duties And Key Responsibilities
- Operating the following equipment within a SMT environment including Screen printers, Pick and Place machines, AOI, Vapor phase oven, X-ray, Rework and repair stations.
- Perform quality control final inspection checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
All training will be given on site by SMT technician and SMT Manager.
Preferred Qualifications
IPC610 & J-standard.
Experience
Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
