The Pickering Group is a family‑owned, UK‑based electronics manufacturer established in 1968, specializing in high‑quality switching, simulation, and relay products for industries such as aerospace, automotive, and defence. It comprises Pickering Electronics (relays), Pickering Interfaces (switching/simulation), and Pickering Connect (cabling), with global operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with different departments within the Pickering Group to develop plans for implementing processes that meet compliance objectives.
  • Help assess our range of Pickering products against the relevant legislation.
  • Produce documents and reports based on information provided by the design and test teams.
  • Compile the relevant documents for each product into a Technical Construction File with a view to NRTL certification.
  • Liaise with NRTLs to pass product groups into certificates and assist in audits.

Qualifications:

  • HNC or above in a STEM subject.
  • At least 2 years experience in a compliance or engineering related role.
  • Professional report writing in Microsoft Word.
  • Training on CE marking for the Machinery Directive and Low Voltage Directive (preferred).
  • Clear and presentable report writing; detail oriented; creative compliance problem solving with minimal business impact; organised with documentation.
