About the Role
Pickering Institute is seeking a motivated, results‑driven, and service‑oriented Educational Sales Manager / Student Recruitment Manager to lead student recruitment and sales activities for our Diploma programmes.
This role is responsible for managing prospective student enquiries, converting leads into enrolments, developing recruitment channels, and providing professional course advisory services to students and parents.
The ideal candidate should have strong sales experience, a consultative approach, and a good understanding of the private education sector in Singapore.
The Educational Sales Manager / Student Recruitment Manager will work closely with the marketing, admissions, academic, and operations teams to ensure prospective students receive accurate programme information, professional guidance, and a smooth enrolment experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Management & Sales Conversion
- Follow up promptly on inbound leads from marketing campaigns, social media, events, referrals, education partners, and direct enquiries.
- Conduct consultations with prospective students and parents through phone calls, online meetings, messaging platforms, or face‑to‑face appointments.
- Understand each student’s academic background, learning goals, career plans, and progression needs.
- Recommend suitable Diploma programmes based on the student’s profile, study objectives, and future academic pathway.
- Clearly explain programme structure, learning outcomes, entry requirements, fees, schedules, progression opportunities, and enrolment procedures.
- Convert qualified leads into successful enrolments and achieve monthly and quarterly student recruitment targets.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, consultations, follow‑ups, application status, and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Student Advisory & Learning Pathway Guidance
- Provide professional advice to students and parents on Diploma programme options and future study pathways.
- Guide students in understanding how the Diploma programme can support their academic progression, career development, and personal growth.
- Explain possible progression routes to higher education, including pathway options to partner institutions where applicable.
- Address enquiries related to programme duration, class schedules, assessment methods, fees, payment procedures, admissions requirements, and student support.
- Build trust‑based relationships with prospective students, parents, and working professionals.
- Ensure all advice provided is accurate, ethical, and aligned with Pickering Institute’s programme information and policies.
- Sales Strategy & Recruitment Activities
- Develop and implement student recruitment plans to achieve enrolment targets for Diploma programmes.
- Identify target student segments, including school leavers, working adults, career switchers, and international students where applicable.
- Plan and organise lead‑generation activities, including webinars, information sessions, education fairs, school visits, partner briefings, and recruitment events.
- Work with the marketing team to provide feedback on student profiles, market response, lead quality, and campaign effectiveness.
- Support the development of recruitment messages, sales scripts, consultation materials, and promotional content.
- Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and student demand to improve recruitment strategies.
- Channel & Partner Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with education agents, referral partners, schools, training providers, and other recruitment channels.
- Support partner enquiries and provide accurate programme information, admissions requirements, and marketing materials.
- Conduct programme briefings and training for recruitment partners where required.
- Follow up with partners on prospective student cases and ensure timely support throughout the recruitment process.
- Explore new recruitment opportunities and partnership channels to expand the student pipeline.
- Coordination with Admissions, Operations & Academic Teams
- Work closely with the admissions team to ensure student applications are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
- Coordinate with operations on class schedules, intake dates, seat availability, payment status, and enrolment processing.
- Liaise with academic teams when clarification is required on curriculum, assessment, learning outcomes, or progression pathways.
- Ensure students receive clear and consistent information from enquiry stage to enrolment confirmation.
- Support a smooth handover from sales consultation to admissions processing and student onboarding.
- Sales Administration & Reporting
- Track and manage the full sales pipeline from enquiry to enrolment.
- Prepare regular sales reports, recruitment updates, conversion analysis, and pipeline forecasts.
- Monitor lead response time, consultation outcomes, conversion rates, and enrolment performance.
- Ensure proper documentation of student enquiries, enrolment records, payments, and communication history.
- Identify gaps in the sales process and recommend improvements to increase conversion and service quality.
- Customer Experience & Follow‑Up
- Provide timely and professional follow‑up to prospective students and parents.
- Guide students through the enrolment process with clarity, patience, and confidence.
- Handle basic feedback and concerns professionally, and elevate complex cases when necessary.
- Maintain a positive student experience from first enquiry to successful enrolment.
- Represent Pickering Institute professionally at all times.

Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in education sales, student recruitment, course advisory, business development, or a related role.
- Experience in the private education sector, diploma programmes, pathway programmes, or international education will be an advantage.
- Strong sales ability with a proven track record of achieving enrolment or revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, consultation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Able to explain programme value, academic pathways, and student outcomes in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Strong follow‑up skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and cases at the same time.
- Results‑driven, target‑oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, digital communication tools, and online meeting platforms.
