The Digital Marketing Executive supports Pickering Group’s online growth by planning, delivering, monitoring, and optimising digital marketing activities. The role focuses on improving lead generation, increasing search visibility, enhancing paid media performance, and ensuring content performs effectively across traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven search platforms. It is a hands-on, data-driven position within a technical B2B environment.
Responsibilities- Plans, manages, and optimises paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads.
- Monitors campaign performance, budgets, conversions, ROI, and lead quality, making recommendations for improvement.
- Supports SEO and AEO initiatives, including website optimisation, metadata, site structure, indexing, content performance, and AI-search visibility.
- Creates and optimises landing pages, website content, and user journeys to improve lead generation and conversion rates.
- Analyses website and campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and HubSpot.
- Produces performance reports and uses testing and data analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Creates and manages email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, scheduling, and performance tracking.
- Supports social media content planning and promotion across LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure content is accurate, technically relevant, and aligned with business objectives.
- Keeps up to date with developments in paid media, SEO, AI search, analytics, and B2B digital marketing.
- Education & Certifications
- Holds a degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or demonstrates equivalent experience.
- Additional certifications in Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEO, HubSpot, or digital marketing are advantageous.
- Essential Experience
- Has previous experience in a digital marketing role.
- Demonstrates experience managing or supporting paid advertising campaigns, particularly Google Ads.
- Possesses knowledge of PPC, paid search, paid social, SEO, and campaign optimisation.
- Uses Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and content management systems, preferably WordPress.
- Creates, edits, and optimises website content.
- Analyses campaign data and recommends performance improvements.
- Desirable Experience
- Has experience with LinkedIn Ads and other paid social platforms.
- Uses HubSpot or similar CRM and marketing automation platforms.
- Understands technical SEO, including indexing, redirects, metadata, page speed, and site structure.
- Demonstrates awareness of AEO, AI search, and featured snippets.
- Has experience within B2B, technical, manufacturing, or engineering-led environments.
- Creates landing pages and uses Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign.
