Reporting to the Engineering Test Manager, the Engineering Test Technician is responsible for in-depth testing of new and legacy products to the highest standard, maintenance & calibration (to UKAS standard) of all department equipment and assisting senior engineers on larger projects when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical tests and investigations on a range of new and legacy products using equipment such as:
- Virtual Network Analysers
- Oscilloscopes
- Power Supplies (including HV)
- DMMs, and more
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Minimum BTEC level 3 / A Levels in engineering discipline, ideally with a high electronic content or experience in a similar role.
- Experience: Ability to fault find down to component level, experienced in using a range of test equipment, DMMs, Network Analyzers, ATE, Oscilloscopes, previous experience in an engineering position.
- Skills/Competencies: Understanding of electronic principles, creative and forward thinking.
- Key Skills: Be able to work in a pressurised environment, self-motivated, a team player with excellent communication skills, adaptable, approachable, and flexible, safety conscious approach.
