We Offer

Join us in a Finance Manager role, this is a permanent contract. You will support the Head of Finance by managing the financial and administrative functions associated with the full range of management accounting activities on behalf of Pickering & Ferens Homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a computerised accounting system.
  • Prepare management accounting information including financial reports, annual budgets and value for money reviews.
  • Comply within internal control procedures.
  • Assist with treasury management duties.
  • Assist with the accurate and timely completion of the Associations VAT returns.
  • Review the financial risks facing the organisation, and put control measures in place to manage these risks.
  • Manage the Assistant Accountant.
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance when appropriate.

Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge of computerised financial systems.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience working within a financial environment at a senior level.
  • Experience of supervising and managing staff teams.
  • Attention to detail, with a confidential, professional approach.
  • A strong desire to live by and promote our values and culture.
  • Excellent working knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages.
  • Knowledge of housing finance and accountancy requirements is desirable but not essential.

Salary

Up to £42,952.50 (FTE) depending on experience.

Hours

37 hours per week. We welcome job share applicants at this stage but would need a match to progress to further stages as full time hours are required for the role. We offer flexible and hybrid working with the opportunity for some home working.

Our office is located at 7 Beacon Way, Hull, HU3 4AE.
