As such, THB are excited to announce the creation of a new senior leadership role; the Head of Asset Operations and Compliance (HAOC). This position will head up Templer’s Asset Management delivery programmes managing the Planned and Compliance delivery. Reporting into the Director of Operations and working closely with your Contract Managers, you will take full accountability and ownership over the planned refurbishment and full compliance areas (to include but not limited to gas, electric, fire, asbestos, legionella, damp and mould, lifts) ensuring they are executed to the highest standards, in an efficient and professional way, whilst committing always, to adhering to all relevant and statutory regulations and laws.

Head of Asset Operations and Compliance (HAOC) role:
You will immerse yourself in our core aims, best practice principles and statutory requirements across the planned and compliance workstreams to ensure all asset data is captured accurately, analysed, and used appropriately to populate the annual planned/component replacement programmes across all planned workstreams. You will lead, direct, and promote operational excellence for your workstream, that is safe, compliant, and truly delivering value for money.
Day to day this will include:
- Continuous study and commitment to keeping up to date with all building safety and compliance regulatory standards and laws that directly affect the housing and building industry.
- Delivering on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Implementing and maintaining all H&S policies and processes are followed, providing safe working environments for employees, our residents (customers) and the public, always.
- Leading, developing, and motivating your team of Contract Managers, Supervisors and Trade operatives
- Presenting weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational and compliance reports to all relevant stakeholders
What will you bring as a Head of Asset Operations and Compliance?
- Proven people leadership experience from within the housing maintenance or refurbishment industry. You will have worked in Asset Management having delivered operational work across multiple contracts meeting the highest compliance standards.
- Ability to motivate, coach and mentor a high performing team – leadership & people development experience is important.
- Excellent numeracy, data and literacy skills are essential.
- Complex organizational planning and coordination skills, imperative.
- Ability to build positive relationships with your team, Teign Housing, Residents & all Stakeholders to ensure their priorities are managed to deliver the best outcome possible. Excellent communication skills are a real must.
