This wonderful family are looking for a Nanny Housekeeper to help run their home and look after their two happy boys ages 9 and 7 years old for 3 days a week. The days required are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and the hours required are Wednesday 07.45-18.00, Thursday 07.45- 18.15 (to cover later swimming lesson), Friday 07.45-18.00. They are offering an excellent salary of circa £20 + gross an hour for the right person ( £32,240 gross per annum) , who ideally will want to stay with them long term.
Key Responsibilities Childcare – On school days: Support getting the boys ready for school (finish helping with breakfast, getting dressed, getting school bags ready, brushing teeth) Walk boys to school. Collect boys from school and walk them home . Supervise homework and music practice . Take them to clubs/after school activities (on evening where no clubs include games, arts and crafts, cooking, football in the garden.) Prepare and clear up supper , If the boys become ill, picking them up from school and looking after them – In school holidays: Look after the boys through the day, including taking them to activity camps if booked or to other activities . Prepare lunch and supper. Housekeeping Duties – ( the family have a cleaner who comes fortnightly) General cleaning and tidying of the house, including hoovering and cleaning bathrooms weekly – Laundry (general clothes daily, bedding every fortnight) – Change bedding . Organise cupboards and wardrobes – Sorting the boys’ toys and clothes and putting aside things which they have outgrown – Meal planning (boys’ food only) and adding ingredients to Ocado shop – Putting away Ocado delivery (weekly) – Being in for occasional deliveries or supervising people attending the property (e.g. decorator, plumber etc.) – Running occasional errands (e.g. to the post office, buying small amounts of shopping) .They are looking for someone who is kind, caring, warm and an individual who will be a positive role model for the boys, supporting their development and helping maintain the smooth running of the household. The ideal candidate will: – Be affectionate towards the children and be patient in their approach -Engage the boys with activities to match their interests –they like being outside and try to avoid excessive screen time – Confident using initiative when managing day to day issues and challenges – Be reliable, professional and communicate clearly with all family members and uphold good standards of cleanliness and organisation in the house.
