Are you an experienced, motivated Senior Building Services Mechanical Engineer looking for that next step within your career?

We are looking to appoint a commercial, forward-thinking and solution focused Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Bristol. You can expect to find genuine prospects for development along with fast-track career progression.

The Principal Mechanical Engineer is a key role to delivering exceptional technical and commercial solutions to a range of clients across the private and public sector; including education, defence, healthcare, pharmaceutical and commercial.

You will work to ensure projects are delivered to the right scope of time, quality and budget. You will prepare and manage designs, feasibility studies, reports and contract documents, and carry out building analysis. You will liaise directly with Clients and Contractors and promote business development. You will supervise a team of engineers and technicians and assist in management of project resources and costs.

About You

This role will suit a Principal Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) who has the desire and capabilities to develop their career within a people and client orientated construction and property consultancy. Our ideal Principal Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) must have:

  • Significant experience of mechanical building services / HVAC design (ie. domestic water services, ventilation, heating, cooling)
  • Hands on knowledge and understanding of IES, Hevacomp and AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP is desirable
  • UK Building Regulations, also Low/Zero Carbon Technologies and BREEAM
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng, BEng with mechanical engineering experience
  • Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements
  • Resource planning and management experience
