We are looking to appoint aforward-thinking and solution focusedPrincipal Building Services Engineer (Electrical). This role is to join our dynamic team based in our vibrant, centrally located Nottingham office. The location of the role is flexible but mentoring of early career professionals within the team will be a key responsibility of the Engineer.
You will bedelivering exceptional technical and commercial solutions to a range of clients across theprivate and public sector; includingeducation, custodial, defence, healthcare, leisure, data and commercial.

Your core responsibilities will include:
- Delivering portfolios of work across both the private and public sector.
- Preparing designs,feasibility studies, reports, and contract documents.
- Carrying out building analysis.
- Managing various contracts.
- Liaising directly with Clients and Contractors.
- Ensuringprojects are delivered accurately and on time.
- Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and graduate trainees.
- Compliance withHealth & Safety requirements, practices and procedures.

About You
Our ideal Principal Building Services Engineer (Electrical) will have:
- HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Knowledge and understanding of BS7671.
- Knowledge of H&S/CDM requirements and current legislation e.g., UK Building Regulations.
- Familiarity with electrical and lighting design softwares such as Hevacomp/Amtech/Dialux.
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative and self - motivated.
- Structured wiring system and security system design experience.
- Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements.
- Resource planning and management experience.
- Fire alarm and emergency lighting design experience.
- Business development experience.
