We are looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Environmental discipline.
Joining a supportive network as part of a national team, you can expect to receive valuable training, guidance and genuine scope for career development.
Independently produce high-quality desk studies, ground investigation reports, and geotechnical design reports in accordance with Eurocode 7 (EC7) and CD 622 requirements.
Deliver technically robust geotechnical designs for a wide range of projects and complexities, ensuring compliance with Eurocodes and industry best practice.
Mentor, support, and provide technical guidance to junior team members, contributing to their professional development.
Manage project delivery, monitor budgets and project expenditure, and ensure work is delivered on time and within financial targets.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and communicating effectively with clients and other project stakeholders.
Life at Pick Everard - Pick Everard About You Our ideal Senior Geotechnical Engineer should have: A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology and Geotechnics, or Geology with a Master's degree in Geotechnics (BEng, MEng, or BSc/MSc).
A strong understanding of the geotechnical characteristics and engineering implications of common UK geological conditions.
An appreciation of construction methodologies, buildability, and the practical considerations associated with geotechnical design during the construction phase.
A working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015), with a clear understanding of the responsibilities of a Designer.
A proactive approach to professional development, with a commitment to continuous learning and progression towards Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or the Geological Society of London.
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the confidence to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to clients, colleagues, and project stakeholders.
