We are looking to appoint an exceptional Civil Engineer to work across an array of projects within our thriving Civil Engineering team in Leicester. Working in unison with the team, you will support with the management and delivery of a diverse range of projects including health, education, commercial, custodial and residential.

As a Civil Engineer, you will assist with and prepare technical specifications and reports and technical designs for a wide range of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget. You will also undertake project technical/quality reviews and attend design reviews for projects and site visits when needed.

Our Civil Engineering discipline boasts a supportive and collaborative environment, and the successful engineer can expect hands-on guidance and prosperous career development. You will also have opportunities to achieve chartered status, with mentors and access to regular workshops and seminars tailored to signing off the core objectives as part of the chartership process.

About You

You will be a knowledgeable Civil Engineer, with relevant experience and a desire to learn more and progress within the industry. Our ideal Civil Engineer must have:

  • A degree or equivalent in civil engineering, working towards a professional qualification.
  • Relevant experience in UK development, using engineering and design standards on a variety of projects from feasibility to construction.
  • Competency and good knowledge of industry design software packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills used to develop collaborative working relationships with colleagues.

It would be nice for you to have:

  • The desire to undertake relevant CPD and increasing skills and knowledge.
  • A commercial awareness and an understanding of different forms of contract.
  • Sound problem solving skills, taking accountability for assigned work.
  • Good report writing and presentation skills at project level.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks with limited supervision.
