Role Purpose: PIC is seeking an experienced Murex Investment Analyst to resolve incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive enhancements across the Murex application. Working closely with business teams, you’ll ensure trade economics — including present value and other key measures — are accurate and fully aligned with Aladdin. You will proactively assess the platform’s technical performance, identify improvement opportunities, and help strengthen the reliability and effectiveness of our Murex environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Expertise and Support: Trade bookings for Bilateral Debt Investments, corrections on Derivatives and Fixed Income in Murex. Reconciliation between upstream Aladdin and Murex.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong, collaborative relationships internally and with external vendors to ensure platform capabilities are fully understood, utilised, and enhanced in line with business needs.
  • Risk and Control Awareness: Proactively identify and raise risks, dependencies, or compliance considerations relating to the use of the platform.
  • Solution Design and Value Realisation: Work with users and design practical solutions that drive business value.
  • Change Enablement: Act as platform representative & expert in change forums and delivery projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of platform usage, support processes, and internal knowledge-sharing.
  • Reporting and Insight: Provide timely updates, metrics, and insights into stakeholders and governance groups.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience working in a regulated (PRA or FCA) corporate environment in the Finance sector (e.g. banking, asset management, insurance or hedge fund).
  • Technical: Proven experience supporting Murex Front‑and Middle‑Office processes. Broad product knowledge across multiple asset classes, including Interest Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income, Money Markets, FX, TRS, Bond Futures, Treasury products, and Bespoke Debt Investments. Strong understanding of the full trading lifecycle, investment strategies, and risk management principles — particularly within liability‑driven investment frameworks. Solid grasp of end‑to‑end investment processes and platforms. Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with external vendors and internal teams to deliver meaningful change. Aladdin experience desirable, but not essential.
  • Personal: Skilled at building trusted relationships across business, technology, and change teams. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex issues quickly. Proficient in data simulation and mathematical modelling, whether in‑system or using Excel. Highly organised, self‑motivated, and able to manage competing priorities effectively. Able to switch seamlessly between strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery. Comfortable working independently, collaboratively, and across multiple concurrent initiatives.
