Our dedicated Charity & Not for Profit team are looking for a new Account Handler to join their team in providing specialist insurance for charities across the UK! Based in York, they support a wide range of organisations, from care providers and hospices to faith-based and social welfare charities. So, whether you’re a seasoned insurance professional or looking to take your first step into the insurance industry, we’d love to hear from you! This is a hybrid role (once fully trained) and flexible working arrangements can be considered.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting Account Executives with client allocation, identifying insurance gaps and helping win new business.
  • Providing professional client service: quotes, renewals, documentation, risk reports and accurate records.
  • Following Group and company procedures; manage tasks, files and payments, and handle breaches and QA issues.
  • Expanding your product and technical knowledge (working towards Chartered qualifications if not already held) with the support from the team and the wider business.

What we’re looking for:

  • An ambitious and self-driven individual who is looking to begin their career in insurance, or ready to develop and build on their current insurance experience.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), professional telephone manner, a good customer focus and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
