What You'll Do
  • Manage and quality-assure a portfolio of fire risk assessment projects across a range of sectors
  • Line-manage and mentor Fire Risk Assessors, providing technical support, coaching, and workload oversight
  • Deliver complex fire risk assessments yourself, including higher-risk and technical premises
  • Review and sign off FRA reports and action plans, ensuring they are clear, prioritised, and commercially sensible
  • Contribute to fire engineering work (fire strategies, technical reports, design input) with support from senior engineers
What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience as a Fire Risk Assessor at senior or principal level, with team leadership or mentoring experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, guidance, and standards across a range of occupancies
  • Level 4 fire risk assessment qualification, IFSM or IFE membership, and Tier 2 register entry (minimum)
  • Excellent communication skills; confident engaging with clients, contractors, and senior stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel regularly to client sites
Pathway to Fire Engineering
  • Work alongside fire engineers on selected projects
  • Fully funded progression towards a Level 5 Diploma and/or Fire Engineering degree
  • Gradually take on greater involvement in fire engineering design and strategy as your competence grows
