What You'll Do
- Manage and quality-assure a portfolio of fire risk assessment projects across a range of sectors
- Line-manage and mentor Fire Risk Assessors, providing technical support, coaching, and workload oversight
- Deliver complex fire risk assessments yourself, including higher-risk and technical premises
- Review and sign off FRA reports and action plans, ensuring they are clear, prioritised, and commercially sensible
- Contribute to fire engineering work (fire strategies, technical reports, design input) with support from senior engineers
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience as a Fire Risk Assessor at senior or principal level, with team leadership or mentoring experience
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, guidance, and standards across a range of occupancies
- Level 4 fire risk assessment qualification, IFSM or IFE membership, and Tier 2 register entry (minimum)
- Excellent communication skills; confident engaging with clients, contractors, and senior stakeholders
- Willingness to travel regularly to client sites
Pathway to Fire Engineering
- Work alongside fire engineers on selected projects
- Fully funded progression towards a Level 5 Diploma and/or Fire Engineering degree
- Gradually take on greater involvement in fire engineering design and strategy as your competence grows
