We're looking for an Account Executive to join our commercial broking team in Greater Manchester. This is a great opportunity to inherit an established book of clients while driving new business growth in a supportive, specialist environment.
We're open to different levels of experience, whether you're an established Account Executive or ready to step up from a Handler/Broking role, we want to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage and develop an inherited portfolio of commercial clients
- Build strong, long-term relationships through regular contact, review meetings and proactive advice
- Work closely with our broking and handling team to deliver high-quality service and technically sound insurance solutions
- Drive new business, identify opportunities within your network and the local market, follow up on leads and support wider growth initiatives
- Place and negotiate commercial insurance programmes, liaising with key insurer partners to secure the right cover and terms for clients
About You
We're flexible on exact level, but you'll bring:
- Experience in commercial insurance (broker or insurer side), ideally with exposure to Mid Market or Mid Corporate clients
- Confidence engaging with clients, building rapport and explaining insurance clearly and professionally
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload and take ownership of your accounts
- A proactive, commercial mindset, comfortable with new business and growth expectations as part of the role
- Progress towards professional qualifications (e.g. CII) is an advantage, though not essential
