PIB Employee Benefits supports organisations across all areas of financial and non-financial rewards, including healthcare, corporate pensions, risk, employee benefit communications and benefits technology. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Deputy Head of Corporate to co-lead our Corporate Consulting Team (currently 16 staff) and help shape our proposition for mid to large corporate clients.
What you'll be doing
- Co-leading the Corporate Consulting Team alongside the Head of Corporate, providing day-to-day leadership to Employee Benefits Consultants and the wider team.
- Contributing to client proposition and strategy, supporting the evolution of our offering for UK and international corporate clients.
- Supporting operational and financial performance, overseeing workflows, MI, income tracking, pipeline and forecasts.
- Direct line management of six Corporate Consultants, with accountability for their development, performance and day-to-day management.
- Managing a small portfolio of corporate clients (around 10 within Healthcare and Risk), acting as a trusted advisor on benefits strategy, renewals and market reviews, and acting as escalation point for complex issues.
- Overseeing adherence to FCA requirements and internal policies, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with Sales, Client Support and Operations to deliver seamless service.
What we're looking for
- Significant experience in employee benefits or financial services consultancy, with a proven track record in a line management role — essential.
- Demonstrable technical expertise in group risk (life assurance, income protection, critical illness) essential, alongside broader knowledge of pensions, healthcare, flexible and international benefits.
- Proven experience advising multinational clients or managing international benefits programmes - essential.
- Strong leadership capability, developing consultants, driving performance and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Commercial awareness and comfort with MI, budgets, pipeline and performance reporting, combined with a track record of retaining and growing corporate accounts and engaging senior stakeholders confidently.
- Good understanding of FCA requirements, a commitment to high standards of conduct and compliance, and relevant qualifications (e.g. CII IF7, GR1) desirable but not essential.
