This is a fantastic opportunity to join a young and exciting residential design studio in London.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated designer to join our creative design team to deliver exceptional design. The role offers the opportunity to work a number of your own projects, from single rooms, kitchens and bathrooms, to whole house schemes, from inception to completion. Through every step of the way our designers are supported by the head of design and our in-house project manager.
The successful candidate should have:
- a minimum one years\’ experience working within the residential sector
- the ability to develop concept designs, mood boards, design presentations using InDesign and to create visuals in Sketch up and Photoshop
- strong drafting skills using Vectorworks and the ability to produce a detailed interior design packages, with technical design knowledge of interior architectural elements, joinery and FF&E
- the ability to manage the design process and good client-facing skills
- strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- a strong portfolio demonstrating detailed design ability
- excellent knowledge of products and suppliers would be preferable
- ability to hit the ground running, good problem-solving ability and a positive \’can-do\’ attitude is a must in this fast-paced environment
Salary negotiable based on experience and skills. The role involves some in-studio working (particularly in the beginning) but we are a flexible working studio and over time would look to move towards working from home for the majority of the week, with one or two days a week in the studio.
Due to the studio location, own car would be beneficial.
