Senior Data & Platform Engineer Salary £70,000 – £90,000 Location: London – Canary Wharf Work Model: Once the successful candidate has passed their 3-month probation period, they will be able to work on a hybrid model, averaging 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, with flexibility for meetings as needed. I am looking for an experienced data engineer with strong skills in Fabric or Azure data platforms. Experience in producing PowerBI Reports and working with data from APIs is essential. Role Overview The Senior Data & Platform Engineer will manage a small team of mid-level Data Engineers. This role reports directly to the Head of IT Development and will be the go-to expert for Data Engineering, Azure, and Azure Fabric. The company uses both Azure Cloud (Azure Data Lakes, Power Apps, etc.) and the new Azure Fabric environment. Ideally, candidates should have some Azure Fabric skills. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role involving new architecture, best practices, and team leadership. It requires solid experience with Power Platform, Power Apps, building data pipelines with Azure, Data API development, and Data Factory. Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, DAX, and Power Query. Experience with Python or Spark for data processing. Experience with API data ingestion, including authentication and pagination. Knowledge of machine learning and AI integration within Microsoft Fabric. Experience working in Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO27001 certified organizations. Experience with SharePoint and Teams.
