We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead and coordinate end-to-end testing activities across medium to large initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and industry standards.
You will take ownership of the entire testing lifecycle, working closely with technology teams, business stakeholders and delivery partners. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in software testing, experience running large testing programmes, and a passion for quality, governance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and assurance across the end-to-end testing lifecycle
- Define and implement test strategies, plans and processes aligned to best practice
- Ensure robust test coverage, traceability and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product managers, domain owners and business stakeholders to define quality goals and sign-off criteria
- Oversee the creation, execution and maintenance of test cases, scripts and scenarios
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the business and manage end-to-end testing phases
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure appropriate consideration of OAT, Non-Functional Testing (NFT) and Disaster Recovery (DR) testing
- Compile and maintain comprehensive test evidence and test results
- Track, report and communicate test progress, metrics and quality status to stakeholders
- Coordinate and manage the defect management process, ensuring prioritisation aligns with business impact
- Partner with implementation and delivery partners to ensure testing commitments and standards are met
- Facilitate formal testing sign-off from business and technical stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement in testing practices, tools and ways of working
Required Experience & Skills
- Significant experience managing large-scale testing implementations across complex programmes
- Strong background in software testing, including leadership or test management experience
- Proven experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and testing processes
- Experience using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA)
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
Desirable Experience
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience in performance, security or non-functional testing
- Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit or TestNG
