Underwriter – Medical Malpractice | £60,000-£100,000 + Bonus

Location: City of London (3-4 days per week in the office)

A leading City of London insurer is seeking a Medical Malpractice Underwriter to join its Global Markets (Non-US) division. This role is ideal for an experienced Med Mal Underwriter or a strong Assistant Underwriter looking to step up.

Role Responsibilities

• Underwrite a wide range of Medical Malpractice risks across the UK and Europe.
• Develop and manage the delegated authority portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong broker and coverholder relationships.
• Review and assess new and renewal business, setting pricing, terms and endorsements.
• Identify growth opportunities and contribute to market and portfolio strategy.
• Ensure high standards of underwriting accuracy and documentation.

Skills & Experience Required

• Medical Malpractice underwriting experience (essential).
• Strong technical, analytical and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain key market relationships.
• Confident communicator and proactive team player.
• CII qualifications desirable.
