What you'll be doing:
- Collaborate with the Lead Data Engineer and Business Analysts to define and deliver data solutions
- Design and support a star schema-based data warehouse
- Perform application data modelling and develop internal/external data integrations
- Build insightful and actionable Power BI dashboards and reports
- Provide proactive data support services to business users
- Support the integration of business systems and data
- Develop robust reconciliation and unit testing processes
- Document solutions, processes, and technical decisions clearly
Technical Skills:
- Strong SQL Server and T-SQL expertise
- Deep understanding of data warehouse (DWH) modelling and star schema design
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Pipelines, and Fabric
- Proficient with Power BI dashboard/report development
- Familiar with DevOps, Git, and modern CI/CD practices
- Solid understanding of insurance data - including both syndicate and company markets
Professional Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent documentation and organisation skills
