We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years educator or Room Leader to oversee daily operations within a fun and well-established nursery in South Croydon. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for nurturing children's development in a safe and stimulating environment. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, implement educational programmes, and contribute positively to children's early learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of nursery staff to ensure high standards of care and education.
  • Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.
  • Foster effective communication with parents, colleagues, and external agencies regarding children's progress and wellbeing.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to childcare and early childhood education.
  • Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and training.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in childcare or early years setting.
  • Level 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent is a must.
  • Knowledge of nursery practices, child development stages, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Valid DBS is required for this role.

Contract:

  • 4 days per week at 36 hours per week, Mon - Thurs (Full time, Permanent).
  • 5 days per week at 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri (Full time, Permanent).

Note: this is not a term time position and will be an all year round role due to the requirements of the nursery.
