Job Overview
Physiocare (Isle of Wight) is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our established private practice. This role is ideal for a clinician with strong private MSK experience and neurological outpatient expertise, who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred rehabilitation.
You will manage a varied caseload including complex musculoskeletal conditions and neurological presentations such as Parkinson\'s disease and Multiple Sclerosis, working within a supportive and professional clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough subjective and objective assessments for MSK and neurological outpatients.
- Develop, implement, and progress individualised treatment plans and rehabilitation programmes.
- Deliver effective manual therapy and evidence-based exercise prescription.
- Provide specialist neurological rehabilitation, including Parkinson\'s disease and Multiple Sclerosis.
- Actively engage patients in the process of physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and recovery, promoting adherence and long-term self-management
- Use outcome measures and clinical reasoning to monitor and progress treatment
- Educate, motivate, and empower patients to take an active role in their recovery
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively within the Physiocare team to maintain high clinical standards
- Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal responsibilities
Requirements
- BSc or MSc degree in Physiotherapy
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within a private practice setting
- Postgraduate training or CPD in MSK or neurological physiotherapy
- Interest in long-term rehabilitation and chronic neurological conditions
- HCPC registration (essential)
- CSP membership (essential)
- Enhanced DBS check (required)
- Right to Work in the UK (essential)
- Full UK driving licence with access to a car (essential)
- Minimum 2 years\' demonstrable experience in:
- Private musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Neurological outpatient rehabilitation
- Strong clinical skills in:
- Rehabilitation and exercise-based therapy
- Manual therapy techniques
- Neurological rehabilitation (Parkinson\'s & MS)
- Demonstrable ability to engage patients in the process of physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and recovery
- Proven ability to devise and implement structured treatment plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously with a high level of clinical reasoning
