Imperial Physics welcomes Expressions of Interest from researchers and innovators intending to apply for the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowships (FLF), Round 11. Imperial EOI deadline: 2 March 2026.
Summary: The UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship scheme supports early career researchers and innovators who are establishing research or innovation independence. Fellowships are available across disciplines and support ambitious, long-term programmes of work.
UKRI restricts the number of applications that each host organisation may submit. All Expressions of Interest must therefore be submitted through Imperial College London’s internal selection process. This involves completing a short online application form and uploading the following documents:
- Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages)
- Imperial UKRI FLF Request for Support form (maximum 3 pages)
The Early Career Researcher Institute at Imperial will host online briefing sessions for UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship applicants on 3 and 5 February. Recordings will also be made available. Registration details can be found via the Imperial FLF page.
UKRI views it positively when host institutions make clear statements of strategic fit and commitment. Researchers interested in a Physics-hosted Future Leaders Fellowship are encouraged to engage early with a Physics Research Community to discuss alignment.
