About the role
A highly skilled engineer will support critical programmes by programming and operating ultra‑high‑precision Coordinate Measurement Machines using the Quindos programming language.
Responsibilities
- Program CMMs with the Quindos programming language.
- Measure critical components using high‑precision CMMs and other metrology equipment.
- Manage lab workload: workflow planning, scheduling, tasking, process sign‑off, and problem report management.
- Ensure equipment availability and coordinate maintenance and calibration.
- Maintain safe and secure operations and manage 5S adherence in the laboratory.
What we’re looking for
- Experience programming CMMs and metrology equipment with Quindos and PC‑DMIS, applying Cartesian and 3D polar coordinate systems.
- Run measurement programs for complex components, including program transfer and prove‑out for operational areas.
- Plan and manage workloads, ensuring timely completion of task reviews and resolution of problem reports.
- Support forward equipment planning across metrology and inspection, focusing on Metrology Development.
- Maintain high laboratory standards through personal 5S activities.
