Overview
We invite applications for an Academic Education Pathway (AEP) Lectureship in the Department of Mathematics at King’s College London. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our existing programmes and to play a central role in the creation of a new undergraduate degree, Mathematics for Quantitative Problem Solving, launching in 2027/28. The successful candidate will help design and deliver an integrated 60-credit first-year module in foundational pure mathematics, bringing together core undergraduate content in an innovative and student-focused way.
Responsibilities
As an AEP Lecturer, you will deliver excellent and inclusive teaching, support student engagement and wellbeing, and contribute to curriculum development across the department. You will also take part in the wider academic life of the department through administration, scholarly engagement, and outreach, helping to strengthen King’s reputation in mathematical education.
Contract and Details
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), offered on a fixed term contract for 36 months.

The position is based at the Strand Campus of King’s College London, with an expected start date within three months of the job offer.
Please note that this is not a regular postdoc position, but a fixed term teaching position and the discipline is a broad definition of mathematics that includes theoretical physics. The successful candidate could interact with the Theoretical Physics Group in the department and do research in addition to the teaching and other duties.
