Role Summary
We are looking for a highly organised and detail focused Content Discovery Coordinator to join our Content Discovery team on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role, you will help ensure that IOP Publishing's journals and ebooks are accurately indexed and easy to discover across key third-party discovery services. You will act as a friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact for colleagues and external partners, helping to resolve queries, support metadata quality, and maintain our data feeds. What you'll be doing:
- Serve as the main contact for content discovery queries, providing timely, helpful support to colleagues and partners.
- Build strong working relationships with discovery services to ensure our content is accurately represented.
- Coordinate content updates including journal closures, metadata format changes, and corrections.
- Carry out regular coverage audits and search testing to monitor the accuracy and completeness of indexing.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot data feeds, resolving any issues quickly and effectively.
- Manage the creation and distribution of metadata files such as KBART files and MARC records.
- Support internal teams (Publishing, Sales, and others) with clear guidance on content discovery processes and best practice.
