Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a dedicated and inspiring Physics Teacher to join a high achieving secondary school in Tower Hamlets on a full time basis from September 2026. This role offers the chance to teach A-Level physics alongside KS3 and KS4 in a forward thinking, academically driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and challenging physics lessons at A-Level and science lessons across KS3 and KS4 where required.
- Plan and deliver high quality lessons that develop students' scientific understanding, practical skills, and exam technique.
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the science department.
- Track and monitor student progress, support intervention strategies, and contribute to the wider science faculty.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant degree in physics or a closely related subject.
- Experience teaching physics at secondary level, ideally including A-Level.
- Strong subject knowledge across the science curriculum and an understanding of exam specifications such as AQA or OCR.
- Ability to deliver engaging, rigorous lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and inspire students to achieve high academic standards.

Salary
London MPS/UPS M1 - M6. Salaries are aligned to experience within the main pay range, with teachers progressing annually from M1 to M6. TLR payments are made for agreed, sustained additional duties outside of regular teaching.
