An executive search firm is looking to fill a Medical Affairs position in a pharmaceutical company located in Cambridge, MA. The company is seeking a Medical Affairs Specialist to join their Biosurgical Pharmacovigilance Device team.

Responsibilities:

  • Receipt, preliminary regulatory assessment and analysis of adverse event reports.
  • Provide key input in the review of new or ongoing safety documents such as protocols, safety summaries, and regulatory reports ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulatory requirements.
  • Participation in the development and quality control activities for key safety documents.
  • Progressive involvement in the review and commenting on clinical protocols and other study‑related documents.
  • Participation on cross‑functional project teams.
  • Involvement in safety problem identification and resolution for products.
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Plays a key role in orienting and developing junior staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field with a minimum of 2 years’ healthcare‑related or medical research experience.
  • Minimum of two years industry experience in drug/device safety to include domestic, international, investigational or post‑marketed responsibilities.
  • 2 years of word processing, spreadsheet, database packages and medical terminology is required.
