About the job
We are looking for an Account Manager to nurture and create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers who are based in London and the Southeast of England. The Account Manager’s role is to develop business from aged customers and to actively seek out new sales opportunities. The successful Account Manager will collaborate with colleagues and the Management team to achieve targets, and ensure our customers are satisfied and engaged with our products and services, upholding our company values.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business with independent and multi-site customers and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales targets
- Prepare quotations and close orders to maximize profits
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly initiatives to Management and the Board
- Forecast and report on account metrics (e.g. monthly revenue and margin results and quarterly forecasts)
- Collaborate with the wider Sales team to identify and grow opportunities
Required Qualifications of the Account Manager:
- Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Sales Account Manager or relevant role
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including executive level
- Solid experience with CRM/ERP software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
