Housekeeper Henley Regatta – Monday 29th June to Sunday 5th July 2026 £13.65 per hour

Regatta is a six-day event set in the grounds of Phyllis Court Club, on the banks of the River Thames. As a Housekeeping Assistant you will help keep our Club clean and looking beautiful. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our 17 bedrooms, all public areas including bars, restaurants, lounges and bathrooms, and the Fitness Centre. The role will include shift work including early mornings, evenings and weekends. You often work independently to ensure the high-traffic public areas such as the Clubhouse and external toilet facilities remain clean, stocked, and presentable throughout this very busy event. You may also be asked to assist the housekeeping team in other areas of the Club when required. Full training will be provided. The role involves walking, standing, bending, and may also involve lifting and carrying heavy items. A proactive approach is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of all public washrooms in the Clubhouse, Pavilion, and external toilet facilities
  • Regularly check, clean, and restock toilets and washroom supplies throughout the day
  • Hoover and dust public areas before the start of the event
  • Clean public areas in high-traffic areas during the event
  • Assist the housekeeping team with other tasks when required (bedroom cleaning, support with linen)
  • Act in a professional and helpful manner in a guest-facing environment

Qualifications, skills and behaviours you will need:

  • Ability to lift, carry and stand on your feet for long periods each day
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a public-facing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Maintain a smart image and appearance at all times, adhering to the standards of dress policy

Uniform requirements:

Provided with a branded polo shirt, but must supply own black trousers, black socks and sensible black shoes for duration of Regatta.

All candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence of this in line with government guidance. Successful completion of the probationary period is also subject to satisfactory DBS disclosure and references.
