Waiter / Waitress Henley Regatta – Monday 29th June to Sunday 5th July 2026 £13.65 per hour. Regatta is a six-day event set in the grounds of Phyllis Court Club, on the banks of the River Thames. We have a number of bars and restaurants open at the Club during the event including our Ballroom restaurant and Conservatory, the Pimm’s and Champagne Bar, the Long Bar, the Members Bar and Lounge, the Regatta Bar, The Riverside Pavilion, and the Orangery and Thames Room.
This role is versatile – you could be taking orders in one of the restaurants, running food, clearing tables, or setting up. You will assist the Supervisor in delivering service to the guests and maintaining back‑of‑house mise‑en‑place. This role is very hands‑on, so a can‑do, proactive approach is essential.
CRITERIAYou must be at least 18 years of age to apply for this role. You must be available for work for the full 7‑day period between 29th June and 5th July 2026 – early shifts starting as early as 08.00am and late shifts ending as late as midnight.

- Restaurant / banqueting experience desired, but not necessary – full training will be given.
- Use a point‑of‑sale system.
- Assist as necessary with the movement of equipment or materials during set up and break down of events.
- Ensure the health and well‑being of all customers.
- Use communication equipment, if required, in accordance with Phyllis Court guidelines.
- Act in a professional manner at all times whilst representing Phyllis Court Club.
- Ability to lift, carry and stand on your feet for 8 to 10 hours each day.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work long hours.
- Ability to work as a team in a public facing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ensure a smart image and appearance at all times, adhering to the standards of dress policy.
- Ability to make balanced decisions and keep calm in an emergency situation.
- Ability to use initiative and work independently without direct supervision.
Black trousers, white dress shirt or blouse, black socks and sensible black shoes for duration of Regatta. All candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence of this in line with government guidance. Successful completion of probationary period is also subject to satisfactory DBS disclosure and references.
