Food & Beverage Team Leader Henley Regatta â Monday 29th June to Sunday 5th July 2026 ÂŁ14.50 per hour.
Regatta is a sixâday event set in the grounds of Phyllis Court Club, on the banks of the River Thames. We have a number of bars and restaurants open at the Club during the event including our Ballroom restaurant and Conservatory, the Pimmâs and Champagne Bar, the Long Bar, the Members Bar and Lounge, the Regatta Bar, The Riverside Pavilion, and the Orangery and Thames Room.
Role Overview
The Team Leader will be responsible for a small section in the Ballroom, Finlay Suite and Conservatory working with a team of 5 to 6 staff members to set up and break down the space, calling food away, managing drinks orders and dealing with any minor staff or guest issues. The role is very hands on, so a âcan doâ, proactive approach is essential and forms part of our âOne Teamâ ethos.
Criteria
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be available for the full 7âday period between 29th June and 5th July 2026.
- Early shifts each day will be between 08:00 and 20:00.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers at the event.
- Experience in a similar role in a restaurant environment or ready to take the next step to Team Leader.
- Take ownership of low level staffing or guest issues, knowing when to elevate to a Supervisor.
- Use a pointâofâsale system.
- Assist as necessary with the movement of equipment or materials during set up and break down of events.
- Ensure the health and wellâbeing of all customers.
- Use communication equipment, if required, in accordance with Phyllis Court guidelines.
- Act in a professional manner at all times whilst representing Phyllis Court Club.
Qualifications, Skills and Behaviours
- Ability to lift, carry and stand on your feet for 8â10 hours each day.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work long hours.
- Ability to work as a team in a publicâfacing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Maintain a smart image and appearance at all times, adhering to the standards of dress policy.
- Ability to make balanced decisions and keep calm in an emergency situation.
- Use initiative and work independently without direct supervision.
Uniform Requirements
Black trousers, white dress shirt or blouse, black socks and sensible black shoes for duration of Regatta. All candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence of this in line with government guidance. Successful completion of probationary period is also subject to satisfactory DBS disclosure and references.
