The predicted salary is between 25000 - 35000 £ per year.

Salary up to £30,883.65 depending on experience 40 Hours per week (shift work including mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, with no split shifts)

About Phyllis Court Club

Phyllis Courtis a private members club situated in a grand riverside manor,set in 18 acres of land with 17 guest bedrooms on the River Thames in Henley-On-Thames and spectacular views over the river & the countryside beyond.

Phyllis Court has excellent facilities, superb cuisines and wines, relaxing riverside accommodation and friendly staff being the perfect setting to meet friends & colleagues, with the highlight of the year being Henley Regatta.

The Role

Working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager and Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Food and Beverage operations across the Club, with a primary focus on the planning and delivery of banqueting and events. This will include weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas parties, summer parties, and any other events requested by our Members.

Working alongside and supporting the Food and Beverage Assistants, you will ensure the service and standards are maintained to the highest levels for our Members, delivering exceptional and seamless experiences across all events and service areas. During quieter event periods, you will also support the wider Food and Beverage operation, assisting within the restaurants and bars to ensure consistency of service across the Club.

Responsibilities will include

  • Oversee all Foodand Beverage Events
  • Possess extensive knowledge of food & beverage, ability to recall menus and ingredients to inform customers and waiting staff.
  • Conduct briefings before service to ensure staff are briefed on menu specials or changes, dietary requirements, special occasions etc.
  • Ensure on the job training for Food and Beverage Assistants is conducted on a regular basis and in line with the Club standards.
  • Ensure cashing up is done correctly and in accordance with company policy.
  • Cover Duty Manager shifts on a rotational basis.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards at all times.
  • Previous experience in a similar role along with managing a team is desirable
  • A positive, friendly, proactive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Members of the Club and colleagues
