Job Description

Stock Control/Goods-In Operative – Countrywide Healthcare BarnsleyHours of work – Monday to Friday – on a rotation shift pattern 06.00 – 14.30 and 10.00 – 18.30.Weekend work Saturday & Sunday 06.00 – 14.30 will be required, this is 1 in 10 which is 5 weekends per annum. When the weekend is covered the successful candidate would get 2 days off in the week Monday and Friday.About Us:We are a leading Healthcare Service Provider company seeking an experienced and motivated Stock Control/Goods-In Operative to join our team. As a key member of the operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our National Distribution Centre.Job Summary:We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated individual with excellent organizational skills to support our Stock Control and Goods-In activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for replenishing stock, conducting ad-hoc stock counts, receiving and processing customer returns, and ensuring high levels of health and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Replenishing stock using the Warehouse Management System
  • Conducting regular cycle counting for product counts and location accuracy
  • Receiving and processing supplier deliveries, including offloading, unpacking goods, and reporting any shortages/damages incurred
  • Putting stock away in pre-determined locations and maintaining accurate stock records
  • Liaising with Operations Supervisor to ensure timely information is provided relating to customer consignments
  • Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety standards and reporting safety observations to line management
  • Adhering to the departments 5s arrangements and general warehouse cleaning and tidying

Requirements:

  • Counterbalance and reach truck license essential for the role is essential for the role
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software
  • Flexibility to take on a variety of tasks and adapt to changing priorities
