As a Planner and Scheduler, you will join a dynamic team of Planners and Schedulers and play a key part in the success of phs. Working within the team, your skills will help keep our Operations Centres running smoothly. This diverse and interesting role will require you to take responsibility for organising the most effective routes for our team of service drivers using our Routing Software. You will work closely with our Operations Centres to ensure our vital services and deliveries are made to our customers on time and in the most cost-effective, efficient way possible.
A day in the life of a Planner and Scheduler will involve:
- Utilising our Auto Routing system to schedule customer service visits across a team of service drivers
- Ensuring the routes are optimised to provide the highest level of services to our customers
- Communicating with the Operations Centres daily, by reviewing the scheduling plans, resources and effectively responding to any queries or client demands within reasonable timescales
- Visiting Operations centres from time to time to integrate with the depot team and review scheduling queries/challenges
- Ensuring service backlogs are controlled, minimised, and communicated with the relevant people
Key Skills:
- Strong IT Skills with Knowledge and Experience of using Microsoft Packages
- Previous Experience of planning and scheduling is desirable
- Excellent Communication skills to be able to communicate at all levels
- Good Organisational skills
- Good eye for detail, and problem-solving (Critical Thinking) techniques
- Good Analytical Skills to collect, analyse information, and Decision making
