A competitive base salary with fantastic overall earnings potential (based on weekly targets). We also offer overtime and weekend work, which is readily available and paid at a premium rate per test.
We don’t require our PAT engineers to be experienced; however, an enthusiastic attitude to learn is required. We will provide all the necessary training. Additionally, we will provide you with a company vehicle that can be used for personal use if you opt into this scheme, along with all necessary equipment.

A typical day as a PAT Tester at phs includes:
- Traveling to customer sites to carry out Portable Appliance Testing.
- Completing tests on portable appliances within customer premises.
- Producing daily results that meet client and external accreditation standards.
- Representing phs Compliance with positive customer service and professionalism.
- Ensuring a professional, safe, and timely service delivery, primarily during regular hours (40 hours/week), with occasional out-of-hours work depending on site and client needs.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A full UK manual driving license held for at least 12 months (subject to insurance requirements), with no more than 6 points.
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours and spend long periods performing manual work.
- Preferably a C&G 2377 qualification, but full training will be provided if not.
- The ability to adapt to different environments and customers daily.
- Basic IT, numeracy, literacy, and good communication skills.
- A desire to build a career in the electrical industry.
