We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse team in Countrywide Healthcare Barnsley. You'll be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations while supporting and developing your team to deliver excellent customer service.
The Warehouse Supervisor role at Countrywide will involve:
- Lead, motivate, and support the warehouse team.
- Organise daily workloads and monitor productivity and service levels.
- Resolve operational issues including stock discrepancies and order exceptions.
- Manage attendance, performance, and employee wellbeing discussions.
- Support training, induction, and skills development.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, housekeeping, and security.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements.
- Ensure accurate records and effective communication across shifts.
The ideal candidate for a Warehouse Supervisor at Countrywide will have:
- Experience leading or coordinating teams within a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to coach and support others.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and health & safety requirements.
- Comfortable using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
- A positive, hands-on approach with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Flexibility for shift patterns - Rotating weekly shifts, Monday to Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm or 10:00am – 6:30pm. Weekend rota 6:00am – 2:30pm Saturday and Sunday.
