We are looking for a talented individual to join our team on a Full Time and Permanent basis as a Laundry Operative situated at our Bolton Operations Centre working with our Floorcare Hygiene Division, part of the phs Group – the leading Hygiene Services provider in the UK.
We need someone with experience in production, manufacturing, or commercial laundry to assist the depot with the day-to-day running of the laundry, ensuring all floorcare products are washed to a high standard and in accordance with phs Group procedures. We hope that person is you.
A day in the life of a Laundry Operative with phs will involve:
- Processing all mats for washing to quality standards set by phs.
- Meeting production and service quality standards.
- Providing high-quality service with rapid turnover of mats, ensuring they are properly cleaned and dried.
- Maintaining laundry equipment and associated items according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures, keeping all records up to date.
- Deciding on minor repairs or notifying the Laundry Support Manager in case of machinery breakdown.
- Following changeover procedures at shift end and passing on relevant information clearly. Keeping accurate production figures as per the company quality manual.
- Adhering to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, including machinery use and emergency procedures.
The ideal candidate for a Laundry Operative with phs will have:
- Understanding of laundry systems, machinery, and processes.
- A methodical and logical approach to work.
- Effective communication skills at all levels, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly.
- A creative approach to problem solving.
In return, you will receive:
- A salary of £25,470 based on a 40-hour week (Monday to Friday).
