At Direct365, we’re looking for a Head of Sales for our Sales and Business Development functions. In this pivotal role you’ll shape our future success through strategic leadership, commercial acumen, and a relentless focus on results. You’ll be a key member of the Senior Management Team, with the autonomy and support to make a real difference. We’re looking for someone who’s ready to lead from the front—driving results, leading change, and shaping the future of our business.

Your Mission

  • Deliver Commercial Results: Own and drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and profitability—on time and on budget. Set and execute the full sales strategy.
  • Lead Transformational Change: Champion a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement across the sales function.
  • Inspire High Performance: Motivate and develop Sales, Business Development, and Retention teams to exceed targets and KPIs.
  • Shape Strategy & Execution: Define and implement sales, retention, and business development strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Sales Forecasting: Project expected volumes for existing and new products, taking action to maintain performance against plans.
  • Structure & Planning: Create and maintain a sales structure aligned to business strategy. Set annual sales plans for key sectors.
  • Pipeline Ownership: Drive growth through expanding existing contracts and securing significant new business.
  • Account Management: Implement effective plans to maximise share of wallet and customer lifetime value.
  • Customer Value: Use data and insight to evolve our offering, improve satisfaction, and increase retention.
  • New Services: Identify and launch commercially sound new products and services.
  • Operational Efficiency: Lead initiatives to improve processes, systems, and technology across sales and retention.

Other Responsibilities

  • Drive colleague engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support debt minimisation and collection efforts.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reports on performance, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Build personal and company reputation through industry engagement.
  • Foster strong peer relationships across phs’s businesses.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience leading and developing sales teams, with expertise in Strategic Growth, Business Development, and Customer Retention.
  • Proven track record of delivering sustained commercial growth, managing budgets, and exceeding performance targets.
  • Significant experience in senior sales leadership, including setting and executing commercial strategy.
  • Strong command of solution selling, value-based approaches, and customer-centric strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in leading transformational change and embedding high-performance cultures.
  • Strategic thinker, able to translate insight into action and deliver measurable impact.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—proactive, energetic, and focused on innovation, accountability, and results.

In return for your commitment and expertise in this role with Direct365, you will

  • A competitive salary with OTE of £70,000
  • Excellent commission, a car or car allowance and bonus benefits
  • Great working hours, Monday to Friday between 8.30am – 5pm (37.5 hours a week)
