Laundry Operative
Blackridge Depot – 40hrs per week, Monday–Friday, £26,514 per annum.
Full‑time, permanent position at our Blackridge Operations Centre in the Floorcare Hygiene Division of the phs Group, the leading Hygiene Services provider in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Process all mats for washing to quality standards set by phs.
- Ensure high‑quality service with rapid turnover of mats, properly cleaned and dried.
- Maintain all laundry equipment and associated items according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures; keep records up to date.
- If machinery breaks down, decide whether to perform minor repairs or notify the Laundry Support Manager.
Qualifications
- Understanding of laundry systems, machinery and processes.
- A methodical and logical approach to work.
- Effective communication skills – oral and written at all levels.
- Quick learner of new systems.
- Creative problem‑solving ability.
