About The Role
As a key worker in our Healthcare Division, you play a vital part in the success of phs, serving as the face of the company and ensuring our customers remain satisfied.
Responsibilities
- Collect health‑related waste products, including pharmaceutical, non‑hazardous, and clinical waste.
- Support the nation’s Covid testing stations by collecting sealed waste.
- Follow planned routes, use PDA devices to confirm collections, and manage any site‑access issues.
- Operate in‑cab technology, satellite navigation, and smartphone as required.
- Use Soft Compaction Vehicles to empty Euro bins containing offensive waste.
- Complete hazardous consignment notes and transfer notes.
- Return to your allocated depot daily to empty the waste from the vehicle.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Category C (LGV Class2) licence.
- Current Driver CPC card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Full driving licence held for at least 12 months.
- Penalty points not exceeding six.
- No IN or DD endorsements of less than five years.
- Open‑mind attitude towards the products carried in the vehicle.
- Good safety record; safety and legal compliance are mandatory.
- Vaccinations
- Hepatitis B, tetanus/polio (mandatory).
- Hepatitis A (advised).
- Employee vaccinations paid for by phs.
