At Phrase, we help open the door to global business by providing the world's leading Language Intelligence Platform. We’re transforming global content operations with our AI-led platform to give people the content they need, in the language they speak. Whether it's for digital products like an app or website, marketing comms, legal literature, internal comms or customer service messaging, Phrase ensures that content always hits its mark by being on brand, consistent, and culturally relevant.

Phrase has been recognized by Forrester analysts as a Leader in language technology and is also highly rated on independent software review site G2. We help the world’s biggest brands, including Uber, Shopify, Puma, Snowflake and Volkswagen, engage their customers at scale to accelerate growth. We're reshaping how we plan and create content at Phrase. A new Content Working Group brings together demand generation, SEO and AI search, paid media, marketing ops, localization and creative under one strategic umbrella. The ambition is clear: every piece of content earns its place, engages in its own right and reflects the quality of the platform we build.

We're looking for a Senior Content Manager to sit at the centre of this. Someone who thinks editorially, obsesses over audience and brings the creative confidence to raise the bar across everything we publish. You'll own content strategy and planning, develop and maintain our content calendar, brief and manage writers, coordinate our design studio, and work alongside specialists in paid, organic, demand gen and localization who are collectively invested in the work. You'll also be working with the people building our product (genuine thought leaders in AI and language technology) and with external experts in the field, turning deep knowledge into stories that resonate.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Own the content strategy across the full marketing funnel, working within the Content Working Group to shape quarterly plans, balance priorities and ensure every asset has a clear audience, purpose and measurable goal.
  • Develop and maintain the content calendar to keep a consistent, strategically aligned publishing rhythm across channels and funnel stages.
  • Write, commission and edit content across formats: blog posts, reports, video scripts, campaign narratives, case studies, ebooks, email sequences.
  • Apply our editorial approach. We want content that people genuinely want to read, watch and share. Content built on original insight, sharp storytelling and distinctive points of view.
  • Compile and present content strategy and plans with confidence and conviction, whether to the Content Working Group, senior leadership or cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the design studio. Two designers support content production, campaigns, reports and communications.
  • Harness AI with intention. Phrase has developed a three-tier content model (Gold, Silver, Bronze) that determines how much human creative investment each piece needs.
  • Fly the flag for content. You'll be the person who pushes for great work, brings energy to the process and motivates the people around you to produce their best.
  • Track what's working. With support from Marketing Operations, use data and analytics to inform what we create next and to demonstrate content's influence on pipeline and business outcomes.
  • Manage the content budget, allocating resources across writing, design and production.

What you need:

  • 6-10 years in content marketing, editorial or content strategy, with meaningful experience in B2B technology or SaaS.
  • A strong portfolio that shows range: editorial flair, strategic thinking and the ability to shift between a thought leadership piece, a technically grounded blog post and a campaign narrative.
  • Sharp editorial judgement. You know when something is good enough and when it could be better, and you have the skill and the tact to close that gap.
  • Experience managing writers, freelancers or agencies, with a track record of getting strong work out of the people you brief.
  • Confidence with AI content tools. Phrase is an AI company and we expect fluency, not just familiarity.
  • A working knowledge of SEO and genuine curiosity about how AI search is reshaping content discoverability.
  • Comfortable with analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Semrush) and able to draw insight from performance data.
  • Excellent project management instincts. You can juggle multiple workstreams, keep deadlines honest and stay calm when priorities shift.
  • Energy! You bring momentum to the teams you work with.
  • Experience in localization, language technology or translation. (This isn't essential, but it gives you a head start.)
  • A background in journalism, editorial or publishing.
  • Familiarity with video content production, from scripting to briefing agencies.
  • Experience with HubSpot, WordPress or similar platforms.

Why this role is worth your attention:

  • You’ll be part of a Content Working Group that genuinely debates, challenges and collaborates.
  • Your ideas will shape the plan and your standards will set the tone.
  • Phrase is an AI company building technology that helps the world's biggest brands communicate across languages and cultures.
  • You’ll report to the VP of Marketing Strategy, Creative and Brand, with the autonomy to shape the content function and the backing to make ambitious ideas happen.

What you’ll get:

  • Work experience in a successful and growing global SaaS company.
  • Be part of an international team in Europe, APAC, and the Americas.
  • Expert colleagues in their field who are determined to build the best localization platform on the market.
  • An agile work environment, where it is encouraged to take smart risks.
  • Take part in a culture full of trust, support and loyalty, where respectful and open feedback is valued, and diversity is fully embraced.
  • A positive, open-minded, and innovative atmosphere.
  • Support in your professional development and personal career goals.

What's on top:

  • 4 Company holidays additional to your regular holidays (1 day per quarter where the entire company is off to celebrate our achievements).
  • Your birthday is off because it is important to celebrate you as well.
  • 2 Giveback days where you can support the local community, volunteer, and/or participate in charity events and activities.
  • Professional and extensive onboarding.
  • Learning & development through Phrase learning and a dedicated Claude Enterprise user license.
