The Role

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of Security systems (Access control, CCTV, Intruder alarms, etc) in various commercial and industrial spaces.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Installation, Service, Repair, Fault‑finding & Maintenance of IP CCTV, Access Control & Intruder Alarm Systems
  • Field based role, covering the Hull and surrounding area
  • Working on a range of brands of manufacturer including Paxton, Galaxy, Menvier, Texecom or Hikvision.
  • Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered
  • Carry out effective communication with customers at all times
  • Ensure tasks are completed efficiently
  • Providing support to team members where required
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Fire alarm experience preferred but not essential
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence

Hours of Work: 45 hours per week, 8 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

Location: Hull & the surrounding areas, with flexibility to travel throughout the UK as required. Hotel stays may be necessary on an occasional basis.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • A full UK driving licence or equivalent (Essential)
  • A drive and enthusiasm to grab hold of opportunities
  • Ideally you will have at least 2‑3 years’ experience working within the Security Industry
  • Knowledge of a range of manufacturers
  • Desirable qualifications include: IPAF, CSCS/ECS, FIA and/or City & Guilds

Benefits:

  • Salaries ranging from £32,000 to £36,000 depending on experience
  • Call out standby fee £100 per week
  • Working away allowance £25 per night plus expenses
  • 23 days holiday, 1 day holiday additional per year up to 28 days PLUS bank holidays
  • Day off for your birthday in addition to the above (or another day if this falls on a weekend or bank holiday)
  • Performance related bonus twice per annum
  • Engineer Joining bonus of £250 with a discretionary £250 upon completion of probationary period

Schedule: Monday to Friday Overtime Weekend availability

Experience:

  • Security: 3 years (preferred)
  • Security Engineering: 2 years (preferred)

Work authorisation: United Kingdom (required)

Location: Hull (preferred or surrounding towns)

Ability to commute/relocate: Kingston upon Hull HU3 4UQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
