The Role As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for attending service requests from our valued clients. Your role will involve servicing and maintaining addressable and non-addressable fire systems, DDA systems, and security systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain fire alarm systems, security alarms, emergency lighting systems, and DDA compliant systems.
  • Complete and compile maintenance engineer reports and site survey reports.
  • Respond to fault calls for fire alarm systems and security alarm systems.
  • Maintain professional and clear customer contact, ensuring timely and accurate responses to all inquiries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while upholding Photuris’ positive reputation.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, weekend work, and overtime as required by the company.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the Fire & Security industry.
  • Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to resolve issues logically and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and complete necessary documentation.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
  • Initiative-driven with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Educate clients on available system alternatives and solutions when applicable.

Nice to have (not essential)

  • EAL BS5839 – Level 3 or FIA 1/2/3/6
  • BAFE – Fire Extinguishers
  • 18th Edition/Electrical knowledge
  • Experience of working with leading manufacturers – Kentec, CTEC, Hochiki, Apollo, Xtralis, Ziton and Gent

Further Information

  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Location: North/North West London and surrounding areas, with flexibility to travel throughout the UK as required. Hotel stays may be necessary on an ad-hoc basis.
