Electrical / Fire & Security Installation & Commissioning Engineer Photuris Ltd is looking for an experienced Fire & Security Installation / Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team. This is a field-based role working across commercial and industrial sites, delivering high-quality fire detection, suppression, and security systems. About Photuris Ltd Established in 2005, Photuris Ltd delivers industry-leading fire detection, fire suppression, and security solutions across the UK. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, compliance, and long-term client relationships, covering everything from installation through to maintenance. The Role You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, fault finding, and maintenance of fire and security systems across offices, retail units, warehouses, and industrial buildings. This role suits a skilled engineer who enjoys working independently while being supported by a strong team. Key Responsibilities * Install, commission, test, and maintain fire and security systems * Work with systems including fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and DDA * Fault-find and repair systems efficiently to minimise downtime * Ensure compliance with BS 5839, BS 8243, and relevant fire and security regulations * Complete certification, commissioning records, and job documentation accurately * Liaise professionally with clients, project teams, and other trades * Carry out system demonstrations and client handovers * Maintain van stock, site cleanliness, and company standards * Support apprentices and junior engineers when required Key Requirements * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Fire & Security Systems Installation * Minimum 5 years’ experience in fire and security installation and commissioning * Strong knowledge of fire safety and security standards and regulations * Experience installing and commissioning fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications * Full UK Driving Licence * Excellent fault-finding, communication, and organisational skills Desirable Experience * Fire systems: Kentec, Advanced, Morley (Ziton & Gent advantageous) * Security systems: Texecom, Galaxy Grade 2 & 3 * Access control: Paxton, HID, Controlsoft * CCTV (IP and Analogue) * FIA courses (1, 2/3, 6) * DDA systems (Baldwin Boxall, C-TEC) * PTS or rail experience What We Offer πŸšͺ Door to Door Pay πŸ’· Salaries up to Β£50,000 (dependant on experience) πŸ’· Working away allowance Β£50 per night πŸ“– Training budget allocated including BS5839-1 Level 3 qualification & GENT training ⛱️ 23 days holiday, 1 day holiday additional per year up to 28 days PLUS bank holidays πŸ₯³ Day off for your birthday in addition to the above (or another day if this falls on a weekend or bank holiday) πŸ’· Performance related bonus πŸ’· Engineer Joining bonus of Β£500 πŸ’· Sales lead bonus πŸ₯ Employee Assistance Program Offering guidance and advice on Personal, Health, Legal and Financial queries.
