Salary and Benefits

About The Role

Our mission is to help businesses create amazing visuals. Your part in that mission is to increase our brand reach by telling Photoroom’s story to the world.

  • Own Photoroom’s relationship with the media: Handle all media communications, press releases, and interview prep for our executive team. Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, bloggers, and influencers, especially in English‑speaking markets. Work closely with the executive team to prioritize and react to opportunities.
  • Lead our global PR program: Onboard and brief local partners to build relationships and secure coverage in key markets (US, UK, Brazil, Mexico, Japan). Collaborate with agencies and international team members to understand local audience stories. Drive agency performance to deliver high‑quality results against measurable KPIs.
  • Own our brand messaging and positioning: Regularly review and refine brand messaging to resonate with target audiences. Communicate positioning internally so every team member understands the core narrative. Create brand narratives as content pillars for PR and thought‑leadership strategies. Collaborate with marketing to ensure all marketing surfaces reflect brand positioning.
  • Find and tell compelling data‑driven stories to the media: Analyze recent press stories, internal data, industry trends, surveys, and user stories to identify newsworthy narratives. Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to craft engaging press releases, thought‑leadership pieces, and pitches. Track and report on the success of PR initiatives and use learnings to inform future plans.

About You

  • 6‑8 years of experience in PR or a related field, with a proven track record of leading campaigns and securing significant media coverage for apps or SaaS products targeting SMB/ecommerce audiences.
  • Creative thinker who turns insights into campaigns that cut through noise and generate coverage with media and influencers.
  • Data‑driven, comfortable diving into dashboards, commissioning surveys, and asking the right questions to craft data‑backed narratives.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication in English, with storytelling flair and experience developing brand‑level messaging.
  • Skilled at interviewing, asking questions to uncover valuable information from experts, and presenting it clearly.
  • Media savvy with a strong network and ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry partners.
  • Decisive, able to identify opportunities, react quickly, and manage challenges without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • Internationally minded, experienced with US and other markets, sensitive to cultural nuances in a global context.
  • Design and photography oriented, with an interest in photography and an understanding of what makes a great image.
